Cupping

What is cupping?

Cupping is an ancient Chinese therapy method which a local suction is created on the skin by either using heat or hand pumps device. This method usually is used in combination with acupuncture to treat musculoskeletal pain where this action promotes blood flow to the injury areas (no cupping is done directly onto the open or inflamed wounds); hence the muscles will be relaxed, at the same time more oxygen and nutrients will be supplied to the local area which supports the recovery.

Patients normally like it because it is painless and feel good after that. There will be bruises forms after the suctions, however they will disappear within 3 - 7 days.
